Welcome to The Engines of Wellbeing Monthly Newsletter!
Oct 11, 2025

I am finally getting around to writing my first newsletter as an entrepreneur! After a lot of soul-searching, I realized it was time for a transformation. My career as an executive supporting the construction and energy sectors served me very well for over a decade, but an inner voice that I have learned to hear and trust has been speaking to me louder and louder this past year.
The last time she spoke this loud, I quit drinking and my whole life changed for the better. Now she is telling me, I am ready for more fulfillment, more impact. I am ready to share what I have learned in my professional experience, my education/training, and my own lived experience to help individuals and organizations reach their potential and become the engines of wellbeing that we are all capable of being.
What the heck is an engine of wellbeing?
An engine is a system that generates power and momentum. Wellbeing is something that I believe is unique to each individual, but in general, wellbeing is a state of health, resilience, vibrancy and fulfillment. When you hear me say that I believe each of us can be an engine of wellbeing, I mean I believe we are inherently, forces of vitality and when we uncover that force- when we let it free to lead the way- we can start reaching our potential and allow others to reach theirs.
What is this newsletter about?
We are going to find out together, but here is my intention: once per month, I will send you a newsletter that will have an insight from me on workplace and personal wellbeing, recovery, conscious leadership and the systems that can uncover and sustain those things. I will share books, articles, podcasts that stand out to me that month. I will share free resources and I will likely leave you with an inquiry question.
October
October has brought new beginnings for me for and my company, Integrating Wellness Solutions. I am accepting more 1:1 coaching clients, and I have two workshops scheduled for the end of the month, one on Burnout Prevention and the other on Mental Health at Work for a Leadership Development Summit.
It's also Sober October, a fantastic month to take a 31 day break from alcohol. I absolutely love the timing of Sober October! In Alaska, the leaves are falling and it is such a powerful example of the nature of letting go- of releasing what is no longer serving us.
If alcohol isn't your thing, is there something else? Drugs, scrolling/tech time, sugar or processed foods, caffeine, porn, gambling, gaming, yelling/raging, gossiping, binge eating... what is something that you can let go of just to see what it's like to be without. Just to see what you might make space for.
What if we joined the trees in releasing, in order to conserve the energy we have for the vitality we will need to make it through the winter. Notice the word "vital" in vitality. Imagine what could change if your energy went toward that which is most vital, that which brings you vitality! What if you took the winter focusing your energy on what matters most to you- what would bloom for you in the spring?
Happy 3 Year Soberversary to ME!

I am celebrating three years alcohol-free this month and I am full of pride, joy, FREEDOM! I was in a dark place this time 3-4 years ago and for me, the first step out of the darkness was to stop adding a depressant into my body. After that, followed several other steps, like accepting reality for what it is, and learning about what feelings are and how to be with them, and asking the easy questions like WHO THE EFF AM I ? My personal journey to health and wellbeing has driven explosive physical, mental, spiritual, and professional growth. It's been messy, it's been focused, it's unleashed the force within me that drives vitality and ripples out to those around me.
To celebrate my soberversary month and my first month as a fulltime entrepreneur, I am offering my newsletter subscribers 10% off of your choice of either a coaching package of 4 sessions, or a 90-minute focused session to address your goals around wellbeing, leadership, or recovery. To receive your discount, and book your session(s) you can reply to this email or contact [email protected].
November's newsletter will be arriving on the first of the month. In the meantime, enjoy the remaining weeks of October and thank you for being a founding subscriber to my newsletter!
