Who this is for

You have your crap together, but there’s this one thing that you either can’t seem to kick or you know is holding you back. What started as social or fun turned into a coping tool, and now it’s hurting more than it’s helping. Or maybe you just know your life would be better without it. Whether you want to quit forever or just for now, here’s your chance to use a structured program with a community of people on the same path.

What you get
01
A guidebook you customize. There is no one right way to do this. You choose your approach and you adjust along the way for what actually fits you.
02
Weekly virtual calls with Naomi, a Certified Professional Recovery Coach who is sober from alcohol and cannabis herself.
03
A badass group of people on a similar path, on a private platform off social media, to check in with and be accountable to.

“No thanks, I’m doing Sober October.”

Don’t miss the best excuse ever to use with your friends, family, and coworkers, so you don’t have to wonder how to say no. At least not for this month.

Meet your coach

Naomi DuCharme: Certified Professional Recovery Coach from Alaska. Naomi has over 20 years leading in Alaska’s hospitality and construction industries. She knows what it’s like to be high performing on the outside and suffering on the inside. She’s been sober since 2022, and it is her mission to remind people what they are capable of and connect them to community on the same path. We all deserve health and presence, and this is one pathway to jumpstart both.

Questions
Do I have to quit completely, or can I cut back?

Either. You decide what your 31 days look like and you write it down before we start. Most people go all the way off for the month, because one clear line is easier to hold than a negotiation every evening. Reducing is a real goal and it is welcome here.

What happens if I drink or use during the 31 days?

You post about it and you keep going. There is no failing here and there is no starting over. A day that did not go the way you wanted is information, and information is the point of a 31-day experiment.

Is this AA, or treatment?

No. This is coaching and peer support. A Certified Professional Recovery Coach is not a therapist, a counselor, or a treatment provider, and this is not medical care. If what you need is clinical care, tell me and I will help you find it.

Is the group on Facebook?

No. It lives on a private platform. No feed, no algorithm, nobody from your work scrolling past it. What gets said in the group stays in the group.

What if I cannot make a Monday call?

Come when you can. The Monday calls are recorded and posted in the group. The Saturday check-ins are not recorded, on purpose, so people can talk freely.

Can I join after it starts?

Enrollment closes September 27, the day before our prep call. Everybody starting together is part of what makes the group work.

What is your refund policy?

Full refund any time before October 1. Once the challenge starts, no refunds, because the calls and the group are live and happening. If something goes wrong, email me and we will talk about it.

Sober October is coaching and peer support, not medical or mental health treatment, diagnosis, or advice. Naomi DuCharme is not a therapist, counselor, physician, or substance use treatment provider. If you drink daily or heavily, stopping suddenly can be dangerous: talk to a doctor before you change how much you drink. If you use cannabis under a doctor’s care, talk to that doctor before changing anything. What is shared in the group stays in the group.
